The 2021 Conference Committee has been meeting since mid-November and planning is currently underway to provide you with a world class training conference and vendor exposition at the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa the week of September 13th, 2021.
The Call-For-Papers will be opening in the coming weeks. This is the first major step in putting together a training experience that will help to empower and provide knowledge to emergency communications center staff from around the state. We plan to have multiple tracks across 3 full days to provide you with options and choices as to what you wish to attend.
We will be hosting NENA’s ‘Enhanced Caller Management’ single day course as a Pre-Conference Course on Monday September 13th. This course helps you become a better call taker, enhances your professional skills, and improves outcomes for your agency and the community you serve. From active listening to decision making, local knowledge to performing efficiently in a crisis, the journey to becoming a star performer under the headset starts here. This exciting course builds upon basic standards, protocols, and policies to help you advance to the next level of 9-1-1 call taking proficiency on your journey towards professional mastery. Topics include: handling infrequent but highly critical events, improving listening skills, and developing a plan to keep your skills growing to meet new challenges.
Beth Terry, who was originally scheduled to speak at our 2020 conference, will provide our Keynote session on Tuesday September 14th. Beth has held Executive positions in corporate America in the Insurance, Retail, and Real Estate industries. Beth has spoken to hundreds of thousands of people in six countries. Her client list is wide and varied. She’s straight forward (High Impact / Low Maintenance) – and has been in the business world long enough to know that trendy training programs come and go. Practical information sticks and it works.
Dr. Kimberly Miller, who also was scheduled to speak at our 2020 conference, will return for our 2021 conference to provide a Super-Session on Wednesday September 15th. Dr. Miller is passionate about improving individuals and organizations and helping them reach their full potential. Her approach is unique because all of her services are designed to fit together in an integrated approach that facilitates change in both individuals and organizations. Dr. Miller is authentic, honest, direct, and value driven. Her work is based on reliable and relevant research and her strategic and purposeful approach enables her to see the big picture and assist you and your organization in effectively planning for the future.
Our Vendor Exhibit hall will occur over 2 days, on Tuesday & Wednesday, September 14th & 15th. We expect roughly 40-50 industry leading vendor exhibitors to spotlight their latest product and service offerings. Come and peruse their booths and learn for yourself how these innovative companies and their products are helping to define what is important to your career.
In addition to the above items, we are also working to secure a Post-Conference Course for Friday September 17th, as well as several networking events. As you can see from the information provided above, we are well on way to providing an exceptional conference and we hope that you will join us in Glendale this fall.
